When running a game it is important to make sure that you:

  • Make Sure that you have all the equipment before you start playing.
  • Make sure that you have enough players.
  • Get players into start position before you explain the rules.
  • Explain the rules slowly and clearly
  • Make sure everyone knows the boundaries
  • Don't assume that everyone knows the rules even in a very simple game.
  • Choose the right game for the occasion
  • Make sure YOU understand the game before playing it
  • Make sure you give the game a name so they can ask so it again
  • Never play the same game each week
  • Use different types of games
  • If a game doesn't go to plan change the rules as you are playing
  • Make teams and pair even
  • Do a trail run with a couple of team members
